Company redefines modern business analytics software to pave the way for the new era of augmented analytics and machine-assisted discovery of insights

Reston, Virginia, March 5, 2018 – Tellius, the innovative intelligent business analytics platform, announced today the launch of the Genius AI Engine to provide the intelligence layer for advanced business data analysis from Gartner’s Data & Analytics Summit.

This new engine provides business users, analysts, and citizen data scientists with an intuitive interface for business analytics and makes advanced analysis accessible to a greater number of users. By providing an intelligent experience that automates the analytic workflow, users will more quickly discover answers to their business questions from a greater variety of data sources.

According to Gartner, “By 2020, augmented analytics — a paradigm that includes natural-language query and narration, augmented data preparation, automated advanced analytics and visual-based data discovery capabilities — will be a dominant driver of new purchases of business intelligence, analytics and data science and machine learning platforms and of embedded analytics” [1].

With the Genius AI Engine, Tellius redefines modern business analytics to extend well beyond dashboards and data preparation:

  • Automated discovery of insights gives business users a faster and easier way to get answers to advanced questions by leveraging machine learning to automatically discover patterns, trends, and anomalies in their data, cutting down analysis from days and weeks down to minutes.
  • The natural language search capability provides suggestions to users as they type, and understands metadata, synonyms, and even data values in the search query.
  • The automated machine learning capability evaluates and tunes multiple algorithms to determine the best fit predictive model.

The Tellius platform is powered by Apache Spark to support high-performance in-memory computation and scale to big data scenarios.

Ajay Khanna, Tellius CEO and founder, said: “We live in an era of intelligent consumer apps. The Genius AI Engine extends our ability to transform the business intelligence experience to be as intuitive, informative, and accessible as the consumer apps we all use everyday. Tellius utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning to enable anyone to ask ad hoc business questions with natural language, get data insights in seconds, and discover patterns and relationships in their business data without data modeling or writing code.”

The Genius AI Engine is available in version 1.5 of the Tellius platform. Anyone can contact the Tellius sales team to see these new features in action to learn how they can help your business. At the Summit, Tellius will be located at booth #111, and experts will be ready to discuss how to empower your team to automatically uncover insights from your data.
